A patch of a v1-v7 release (v7b, v7c) keeps the SAME models (same mdl_seq, same mdl_key) and the same source datasets as its parent; it only repaints a few merged surfaces. Its pointer table is therefore the parent's published native_asset with the model (gridded COG) rows re-pointed at the patch's own model_asset: the native rows (the original PMTiles / 0.5 degree COG surfaces) are the parent's, untouched. v1-v7 native_asset keys a row by mdl_key = as.character(mdl_seq).

Usage

native_asset_carry_forward(native_prev, model_asset)

Arguments

native_prev

the parent release's published native_asset

model_asset

the patch release's model_asset (mdl_seq, cog_url, optional content_hash)

Value

native_asset in native_prev's row and column order, model rows re-pointed

Details

Refuses (error, never a silent drop or invention) when the two releases are not the same model set: a model of model_asset with no model row in native_prev (a new model has no reviewed original to reuse), or a model row of native_prev whose model the patch no longer has. content_hash is the 16-hex hash in the new URL's store key when model_asset carries none.
